Looking for a new job? How do you create the best resume to stand out from the crowd?
According to Hubspot’s new data there are some tips and tricks that you may not know!
With a job application success rate of 2-3.4%, it is so important to submit the best application possible!
Now for some quick tips;
- Firstly, don’t submit a resume that is over 2 pages long. A recruiter takes an average of 5 seconds assessing resumes, so you don’t want to have too much unnecessary information clouding your best qualities. Keep it to 1-2 pages, depending on the length of experience.
- Secondly, include your best stand-outs. If you know more than one language, let recruiters know! If you earned a certificate or attended a relevant course, include this! If you have specific software skills relevant to the position, write that down! All this information will help you stand out from the crowd.
- Lastly, make sure there are no typos or spelling errors. This is so important because your resume is the first impression you are giving of yourself to the company. Spell check. Then spell check again!
